Our Story
Sarah and Michael’s story began in the summer of 2018 while working together as lifeguards at Madison Lake. By the following summer, their relationship had grown into a friendship.
Eventually, Michael asked Sarah out on a mini golf date. She wasn’t totally sure at first—he was cute, just maybe not her type. Still, she said yes. What started as a simple mini golf game turned into dinner, then an unexpected walk through a labyrinth in a quiet cemetery (it’s a long story). That evening grew into seven years together.
Since then, they’ve grown through college, long-distance miles, new jobs, two beloved cats, and many adventures. Michael is the calm anchor to Sarah’s bright, lively spirit—thoughtful and steady, while she is enthusiastic and full of heart. Together, they balance each other in the best way.
On May 17, 2025, Michael brought Sarah back to that same labyrinth and proposed in the exact spot where their first date ended, turning a special memory into the start of forever.
