One Saturday morning, he told Sierra he had an early Christmas present and instructed her to dress for the outdoors. Blindfolded, Sierra was completely convinced they were about to pick up a dog from a nearby animal shelter. (Honestly, she was already picturing brisk walks and possible dog names.)
