The Wedding Website of Evangeline Abraham and Tovic Ben
It's hard to compete with all of the fun things to do in Tampa and Orlando, but here are a few places that we have really enjoyed over the years! We hope that you'll enjoy them too~
Ax-Caliber Axe Venue and Restaurant

204 East Orange Street, Lakeland, FL 33801
, (863) 592-3500

Great place to get out some stress throwing axes (or just bouncing axes off the board if you're as terrible as Van). There's also a virtual gun range, foos ball, and pool tables, but imo the axe throwing is the main attraction. They also do flights of iced coffee in the morning!

Kitty Cat Lounge

We know what you're thinking, but it's not what it sounds like. This is a homey cat cafe that rescues cats/kittens and helps to find families to adopt them. There is also a ventilated space away from the cats where you can play board games or just relax and enjoy some local pastries/coffee if you are allergic or not about cats.

Circle B Bar Reserve

4399 Winter Lake Road, Lakeland, FL 33803
, 863-668-4673

If you want a true Florida Man experience, here it is! This is a free trail where you can see a lot of the local ecosystem, including but not limited to gators. Don't worry, they get really tired and lazy this time of year.

Lake Morton

Lake Morton Dr, Lakeland, FL 33801

If you aren't ready to take on the alligators but still want to see something unique, take a stroll down to Lake Morton. You can park at the Main Lakeland library and walk down to the lake, where you will see both black and white swans. The swans arrived to Lakeland as a gift from Queen Elizabeth II in 1957, and they've been here to stay ever since.

The Joinery

Food court with lakeside views and a nice scenic little walk around Lake Mirror. Some of the best ramen we've ever had is in Sabu Ramen and unique ice cream flavors are at Mayday Ice Cream (both inside this AC'd food court). But if you're a little weird and don't like those things, it's ok! There are also places to get BBQ, sushi/poke, mexican food, pizza, and burgers. Fun Fact: Van and Tovic's engagement pictures were taken around the promenade outside of the joinery. TBA :)

Born & Bread Bakehouse

1113 Florida Avenue South, Lakeland, FL 33803
, 863-450-4513

What started as a small stand in the Lakeland Farmers Market grew to one of the most popular local bakeries in the area, for good reason! If you've never heard of a "cruffin" before, this is probably the best place to try one for the first time. There's something for everyone here with a big variety of sweet/savory pastries, coffees, and breakfast sandwiches. Highly recommend pre-ordering and picking up if there's something on the online menu that you really want to try, things get sold out fast here. (Only open Wednesday-Saturday).

For all the days along the way
