We met on Hinge in May of last year, and within just a few conversations, we both felt that something different was unfolding. What started as a simple match quickly turned into meaningful connection, the kind that makes you pause and pay attention. For our first date, we went bowling—where Dera won two out of three games (yes, it’s still being talked about). But somewhere between the frames, we stopped keeping score and started talking about what really mattered: our faith, our families, our values, and the kind of lives we hoped to build. In that moment, it became clear that God was writing a story far greater than either of us could have planned. From the very beginning, our relationship has been rooted in a shared foundation—Jesus is Lord, and our desire is to glorify Him in all that we do. We quickly became part of each other’s everyday lives, and it didn’t take long to recognize that this was something special. Through every conversation, every prayer, every fast, and every moment—both joyful and challenging—we’ve seen God’s hand guiding us. We feel deeply known, fully supported, and constantly reminded that we were graced for one another. Joy lives here. Peace lives here. Laughter lives here. And it’s an honor to choose each other every single day—to serve one another, to grow together, and to continue seeking God side by side.
