Nathan was given Touria's phone number while he was on a ski trip in Montana, ironically she was also on a ski trip in Colorado. After they both returned from their trips they decided that they should meet in person. They went on a date to the Local Blend for their first date, they chatted over hot apple cider...and the rest is history

Burk family weekend was in full swing up at the cabin when the moment came for Nathan to pop the question. It was mid 70s on a calm lake with the sun setting in the background when Nathan walked Touria towards the end of the dock. There he got on one knee and pulled out the ring from behind his back and held it up to a very excited Touria! Though neither of them can remember what was exactly said, it ended with a resounding YES and the celebrations began!
