Question
What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
We ask that you arrive for the start time of 4:30. It will be a short and sweet ceremony immediately followed by the reception.

How should we get to the event?
Answer
We highly recommend driving/car pooling. Parking is provided onsite; any vehicles left on the property must be retrieved by noon the following day. While booking an Uber or Lyft to arrive at the venue is often successful, trying to book a ride from the venue at the end of the night is usually not reliable. Because the venue is in a rural area, cell service can be spotty, and real-time ride requests may fail or be canceled. We will be providing a shuttle after the event ends at 10pm to the Aloft Hotel.

Are Children invited?

As much as we love your kids this is an adult-only evening. Get yourself a sitter and put on your dancing shoes for a carefree night out!

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Your classic wedding attire will be perfect! The venue has a range of both indoor and outdoor spaces, and the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, weather permitting. North Carolina weather can fluctuate from daytime to evening, so we recommend coming prepared with a light coat, sweater, shawl, or whatever layer would keep you comfortable.

I have a food allergy or a dietary restriction can I make a special request?
Answer
Dinner will be served buffet style. We have made every effort to include options in our menu selection to cover various dietary needs (please see the Reception Menu page for details). If you would like to request a vegetarian main course, please let us know when you RSVP so we can accommodate you. Please reach out if you have any allergies and we will be happy to share what options will be best for you ahead of time.

Will there be an open bar?
Answer
Yes, we will have an open bar with a selection of beer and wine. There will also be fresh-brewed unsweetened and sweet tea; we are in the south after all!

Are you registered? Where?
Answer
As adults who have been living on their own for many years now, we don't need any of the typical registry items. Therefore, we will not be having a shower. We have decided to do a monetary registry to simplify and focus on the two biggest costs coming up in our future as husband and wife. We have selected a few items for our kitchen for the registry should you feel inclined to present a more traditional gift.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?
Answer
Please see the travel section of the website for some hotel suggestions in the area. We have provided some hotels that are closer to the venue and some that are closer to us. We have hotel blocks available for the first three on the list. The link will bring you to the discounted rate.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
While we don't have any other events planned if you choose to make a vacation out of the event we have provided some suggestions on activities during your stay in the "Things to Do" section. We will be more than happy to provide further suggestions for your stay!
