Wedding Party

We get by with a little help from our friends (and family). 11+ years wouldn't have been possible without an amazing support system by our side. So, as a thank you, we asked them to take lots of time out of their busy schedules to help us pull off this wedding.

Andrew

Groomsman

The best big brother Kyle could have asked for. He never beat him up like a normal big brother would, even if he deserved it (and from the stories his family tells, he did) and all of the injuries that he did give him were on accident. Like slamming his pinky in a door and “pretending” to do a karate move on him and kneeing him in the face. Although they haven’t been extremely close throughout the years, we always looks forward to seeing him and he can always make us laugh. Also, we are so happy for him and his future wife, Diana! (wedding coming in 2021!!)

Emily

Bridesmaid

One of my childhood friends and one of the people that knows me better than anyone. Though it feels like we’re rarely ever in the same place at the same time these days, we are always able to pick up right where we left off and squeeze in a dinner date or wine night to catch up whenever we're both around. Since our elementary school sleepovers Emily has been one of my go-to people and the one that I know is always in my corner.

Anthony (aka CJ)

Groomsman

My brother and our friend. CJ and I were always close growing up, and ever since he moved back home from Nashville earlier this year, the three of us have grown even closer. We can always count on him for some late night games, an Office marathon, and a laugh and love having him right next door to us. He drives me crazy from time to time, but I don't know what I would do without him.

Alex

Bridesmaid

My oldest friend and Kyle's twin. If keeping her around as one of my best friends for 15 years doesn't prove how much I like her, just look at how similar her and Kyle are (stubborn, sarcastic, dramatic, etc.). From playing with random stuff that we bought at the school store in elementary school to drinks and spontaneous apartment dance parties now (see pic), I know I can always count on her to help me laugh through all of the hard stuff.

Mikey

Groomsman

My other brother, and the person that is for sure the most excited about this wedding (not). Ever since we told him the date for the big day, he’s been trying to get out of coming (“Stay home, July 25th 2020” he says) but we know that he can’t stay away from a party complete with cupcakes and a pizza station for long, so surely he will make an appearance at some point.

Nicole Anderson

Bridesmaid

Our matchmaker. Though technically Kyle’s friend, Nicole is one of my best friends, co-workers (ever since she trapped me into working events with her), and travel partners. As our unofficial event planner, she helps us make sure that everything for the wedding is getting done on time, and as our friend, she tells me (very gently) when my ideas get too crazy. Through years of distance, moves, and big life changes I've always been able to come back to Nicole when I need support and advice, or someone to accompany me on a last minute trip halfway around the world, and know that this will always be the case.

Pierce

Groomsman

One of Kyle’s oldest and most outrageous friends. You can always count on him for a good laugh and a great time. While Kyle and Pierce can’t ever seem to be in the same state since high school, every time they do end up seeing each other, they pick up right where we left off like no time had passed. Pierce has always felt like a member of Kyle’s family, but maybe thats because he calls his mom “mom” and his grandma “grandma”. I guess a member of the family wouldn’t get banned from using the computer though.

Abby

Bridesmaid

My grad school pal and favorite person to vent about life with. Though we've hit a few bumps in the road (flashback to senior year when I acted like a big idiot and Abby hated me for it) we came back together around what's important (hating school) and have been close ever since. Turns out that nothing can rebuild a friendship like shared misery and spending 2+ hours stuck in traffic together every day, and that something good came out of all that torture after all.

John

Groomsman

We thought about this one for a while, and we have no words to describe John. So, those of you who don't know him are just going to have to wait until you can experience him, and his amazing dance moves, for yourselves.

Kristen

Bridesmaid

My closest companion growing up. Ever since we were little we have talked about being in each other's wedding, so now, here we are. Despite not living across the street from one another anymore, and having a lot more on our plates now then we did back then, we haven't lost touch over the years or sight of how important family is to us and always make time to reconnect, catch up, and reminisce on old memories.

Nick

Groomsman

Nick and Kyle were always friends growing up, but it wasn’t until the end of high school and during college that they got really close. Every time we were home for a break during college, Kyle would get a “you wanna hang out?” text from Nick at like 10 PM and the two of them would play cards or sit in Kyle's basement until 3 or 4 AM. Nick is one of the only people that ever asks to START hanging out at 10 PM and Kyle loved getting those texts every time.

Elise

Bridesmaid

Although she only used to hang out with me every other time that I saw her growing up (aka only on "Ashley days"), and she was one of Kyle's biggest skeptics when we first started dating, we've all grown closer over the years. Now, Elise will actually hang out with both of us each time that we see her and is one of our favorite people to quote Parks and Rec with, share family inside jokes with, and pull "Murray marathons" with.

Ian

Groomsman

Kyle’s next door neighbor freshman year of college, quickly became one of his closest friends. Between having the same birthday, liking all the same music, and having the same exact sense of humor, they are each other’s biggest fans.

Nicole Murray

Bridesmaid

Though we're eight years apart, and I used to give her the worst roles to play in all of our pretend games since she was the youngest, Nicole and I have always connected on some level (maybe it's the whole being born on the same day thing) and enjoyed spending time together. Nowadays, she's the only person that's still always around to come in and rescue me from spending all of my time with the adults at family functions (which I am so thankful for) and is someone that I can count on to tell me what's "cool" now that I'm old and lame.

Kyle (aka Gomes)

Groomsman

"Big butt, bigger heart." - Kyle's suggestion for a bio, not mine

Roxanne

Bridesmaid

One of our personal tour guides and hosts for our trips out to Colorado. Thought we don't get to see Roxanne very often, she is someone that has always been important to me, and we are so happy to have her stand with us on our big day. When we do get together, even if it's not as often as we would like, we always have a great time and know that we can always count on her to be up for anything.

Pat

Groomsman

Kyle couldn’t have had better luck with this random freshman roommate. They became best friends after their first man date to DP Dough, where Kyle says he was "turned off of calzones forever, but turned on to Pat for life". They’ve had great times going to Yankee games and concerts, city adventures, and staying up playing cards and watching the same shows over and over. We know that Pat will be one of our friends forever, no matter how many light bulbs he steals (but please stop).

Kayla

Bridesmaid

Another one of "Kyle's friends" that I've adopted as my own. We went to college with Kayla, and though I hated her at first, I now consider her to be one of my best, most loyal, and most caring friends. Even though she lives far away, she always makes time to come up and see us (we're convinced she comes to LI to spend time with us, not Pat) and is still my #1 gal for a good bar sing along.
