Brittany and Chris first met in January 2015 at the first Camp Texas counselor training of the year. Brittany and the rest of the exec team had spent weeks planning out how they would welcome all the counselors with an explosion of color, glitter, and face paint. And as luck would have it, when Chris walked in for his first counselor training ever, Brittany was the one to greet him (read: ran up, introduced herself with a hug, and started painting on his face with purple face paint). After over a year of growing closer and closer as friends, Brittany and Chris went on their first date during summer break of 2016 and finally became official in October! Their long distance journey started soon after when Brittany went off to medical school in Houston and Chris was stationed all over the country from Boston to LA. Despite the distance, they traveled to see each other as often as they could and spent the rest of their time on Zoom and FaceTime to at least be together virtually. In April 2020, they adopted the sweetest chihuahua who they named Evie, and she quickly became the love of their lives. In October 2022, Brittany and Chris took an anniversary trip to Austin to celebrate where they met all those years before. On the first day of the trip, Chris brought Brittany to Mueller Lake Park where they spent their first Valentine’s Day and asked her to spend the rest of their lives together! Just a few months ago, after over 6 years of long distance, Chris finally got to move back home to Houston. Brittany and Evie have been thrilled to have him back! They have been in the thick of wedding planning and cannot wait to celebrate their love with their favorite people! October 19, 2024 cannot come soon enough!!
