"Hearts are like crossroads, sometimes you just gotta follow the light." That first day Chris and Lysia met at the crossroad, one would ever thought that they would end up on a same path like this. Lysia was a free-spirited soul, always made her own choices, and she did not actually see Chris as one. Chris was different, though. He was a silent, yet burning passion, who saw the light of their way first. He was the one who waits patiently as Lysia sails away. They have crossed their paths many times since then, but never seemed to meet each other in line. Yet Lysia knew, for sure, that each time she turn her head to that path, Chris was always there. She started to question her adventurous heart, "If ever you have a million possibilities and one certain choice, which one would you pick?" So, there it goes. You cannot wait forever and neither can you run away from the one who is always there. Chris and Lysia finally decided to sail their way together, through the highs and lows of the ocean called LIFE.
"Shrine is a sacred place, Chris and Lysia can tell that." That day in Yasaka Pagoda, Kyoto, the place was more sacred than ever. The shrine was the witness of Chris' not-so-prepared proposal to Lysia. Even so, they knew that all the best things in life come in an unexpected way. The plan was supposed to be perfect. Chris followed Lysia and her family in their holiday in Kyoto, along with him are well-rehearsed crews for the big surprise. But who would have known that the failure of his plan is the price it takes to make a priceless proposal? At the alley near the temple, when Lysia was about to take a picture of her father, Chris suddenly passed the frame and left Lysia dazed by his presence. The proposal was awkward and unprepared, but for that reason alone, it was the moment you cannot replace with another. No sweet proses or red roses, just both of them, their laughter, and the word following it: "Yes".
