When should I arrive?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests arrive at the venue no later than 3:00 PM, as the ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 PM. We will be staying at the designated hotel from Friday evening through Sunday or Monday morning for a brief honeymoon. Should you wish to extend your stay and spend additional time with us following the wedding, we encourage you to make appropriate arrangements with your chosen accommodations.

Am I required to stay at Batavia Downs?

Answer

No, you are welcome to reserve accommodations at any hotel in the Batavia area or surrounding regions. We have secured room blocks at Batavia Downs for your convenience. Guests who choose to stay there will also have access to shuttle service to and from the venue. Please refer to the Travel section for additional details.

Is parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is a designated grass parking area located on-site adjacent to the venue. Please note that overnight parking is not permitted; all vehicles must be removed by 10:00 PM. Guests planning to remain beyond that time should arrange alternative transportation.

May I bring children or a guest?

Answer

The RSVP page will indicate whether children or additional guests have been included in your invitation. While we adore your little ones, we respectfully request that the ceremony and reception remain adults-only, with the exception of children participating in the wedding.

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal to formal attire. We encourage guests to dress comfortably while maintaining an elevated style. As the ceremony and reception will primarily take place outdoors—with indoor options available—we recommend planning accordingly for weather conditions. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held indoors.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, beer, wine, and cocktails will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring cash should they wish to tip the bartender.

May I take photos during the wedding?

Answer

We will be hosting a strict unplugged ceremony to allow all guests to be fully present. Our professional photography team will capture the event. During the reception, guests are welcome to take photos and videos; however, we kindly ask that cell phone use be kept to a minimum so that we may all enjoy the celebration together.
