We met through mutual friends (shoutout to Hannah and Jake in our wedding parties!) at a bar in DC. The bar might have seen its final days but almost 6 years later we are still going strong.

Jon was the king of surprises for the proposal. He started the day with brunch picnic on the grounds of the Kennedy Center in DC. It was a beautiful sunny day and just after we took our first sip of coffee Jon said he had something he wanted to read to me. Pretty soon I realized he was on one knee asking and I was saying "yes!" The fun didn't stop there! Jon had a fancy lunch planned, a best friend surprise visit and to top it all off, a surprise party on the roof of our home with close friends to close out the best day! We felt so loved and celebrated, a wonderful moment leaping into the next chapter!
