FAQs

If you have any questions other than what we have listed here, please feel free to reach out to either one of us directly. We kindly ask that any questions on the day of the wedding get directed to our wedding planner, a member of our bridal party or immediate family, and not the bride or groom directly. Thank you!
Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, kindly note this is an adults only celebration. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time & leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us and enjoy a night out!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If your invitation is addressed to you and a guest, you may bring a plus one. Otherwise, we ask that you travel in with other invited friends or family. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Where can I stay?

Answer

If you are traveling from out of town and need a place to stay, or just don't want to drive after all the fun, we have created a room block at two local hotels for our guests convenience. Please visit the Travel section at the top of our website for more information on booking! You are also more than welcome to find your own preferred accommodations for the night or weekend! There are many beautiful and cozy hotels, inns, and Airbnbs in the area to choose from!

Question

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be at the same venue, The Barn on the Pemi. Our ceremony will take place in the greenhouse. Please note that the greenhouse is not climate controlled so, please dress accordingly. The Barn is climate controlled where cocktail hour, dinner, and our reception will take place. The original barn spent 177 years housing livestock and storing potatoes on the Peverly Farm in the historic village of Canterbury, NH. The Common Man Family salvaged this treasure, lovingly took it apart – board by board, beam by beam – and moved it to a beautiful spot with a view of the Pemigewasset River, where our wedding will take place! The Barn on the Pemi is located at 341 Daniel Webster Hwy, Plymouth, NH 03264. Exit 24 off I-93 to Route 3 North.

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you arrive 15 minutes or so before the official ceremony start time so you can get settled before the proceedings.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding attire is semi-formal. Please wear what you feel your best in, and don't forget your dancing shoes!

Question

Will transportation be provided? Is there easy parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes and yes! We will have transportation to and from the venue for guests staying at the Common Man Inn and the Fairfield Inn. There is ample parking at the venue for those who will be driving. Please drive responsibly!

Question

Can I take pictures or videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We have decided to have an unplugged ceremony which means we kindly ask you don't have your phones out taking pictures or videos during any part of our ceremony. We hired professionals to do this for us. We encourage lots of picture and video taking during cocktail hour and the reception!!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

April in the White Mountains is a funny time of year... It could be warm and sunny or there could be a blizzard. It's also MUD SEASON. So, please bring proper footwear if you will be exploring the area outside of our wedding. As the wedding date approaches, we will continue to provide more accurate weather updates for the weekend here.

Question

May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?

Answer

While we appreciate that you love our wedding decor, please do NOT take anything home with you. They are not ours to give away. Thank you for understanding!
