Our Story

January 2019 we were both signed up to play in an indoor ultimate frisbee league in North Canton. Upon getting the roster and seeing some unfamiliar names, naturally, we Facebook creeped. We both shared a similar thought when we saw each other's online presence, "Oh, who's this? Intrigued." Unfortunately, an injury in week two took Andie out of ultimate for the season. Ultimate frisbee brought us back together again in September 2019 when we were recruited to play in a weekend tournament. We made our first real connection that night after the day's games. We stayed up late sitting at a picnic table next to the fire talking for hours. Andie remembers the words but Tory just remembers how it felt. From that night on, our text thread got infinitely longer. We shared many common interests as well as countless walks, talks, and dinners every weekend for the next several months. The friendship blossomed and connection deepened but something was missing from the foundation of our relationship. It was Jesus. At the time, we both had our own way of viewing the relationship itself as what would ultimately fulfill us and give life meaning. The relationship became the idol we worshipped. It wasn't until we gave up the relationship as our first love and accepted Jesus in its place that we were truly free to love. We give glory to God, the author of our love story, and we are excited to have you celebrate with us as we covenant together in marriage. We pray that our marriage is faithful to the gospel in demonstrating its truth: God's desire to be one with us.
