As most may know, Torri and Phillip initially met while attending the same HBCU at Albany State University between 2007-2009. It was during that time where they both inexpressively found one another attractive but were "off the single market" to pursue the attraction further. It wasn't until 2010 when their college had an Alpha Phi Alpha Neo Probate on campus. With Phillip graduating Spring of 2009, he returned to the ASU campus in Spring of 2010 for the Alpha Phi Alpha Neo Probate in support of his future fraternity brothers. Neither Phillip nor Torri had a clue that this would be the beginning of their lifelong journey in love. That night, they reconnected, exchanged phone numbers, met at the probate's afterparty, danced the whole night until the party ended, then drove to Torri's apartment complex and sat in Phillip's car talking until the next morning in enough time for him to drive straight back to Atlanta for work. As time passed, Torri being two years younger than Phillip, went on to successfully graduate in Spring of 2012 and throughout the upcoming years they always kept in contact. Through multiple relationships, life, and growing as individuals on their separate paths, in January of 2018 an amazing turn took place in their journey in love that brought them to this very celebration we are all in anticipation for. Again, who would have thought?! As a common reconnect gesture, Phillip reached out to Torri shortly before her 29th birthday inquiring about her birthday plans seeing that she always goes all out for her celebratory festivities having attended quite a few of her previous celebrations for past birthdays. They met up to celebrate her birthday re-igniting their spark unintentionally in the midst of just having innocent fun. The night ended with pure enjoyment, and they checked in on one another a little while after that reunited link up. A month or two went by and during this time Phillip was in the process of taking his real estate exam. With his admirable self-discipline, Phillip took a risk to put this endeavor above everything even potentially losing out on progressing with Torri by telling her that he made a decision to avoid any and all distractions while studying for the exam. Little did he know that this risk was one that even today, Torri still respects him for doing despite the chance he took by walking away and not having a guaranteed opportunity to get her back. However, with full confidence, and even after Torri warned him of not guaranteeing she would be available for him if he attempted to resume their re-united flame, he reassured her that he will be coming back for her after his achievement was accomplished. And as we clearly see now, he did JUST that always being a true man of his word! Let's just say the summer of 2018, they clicked the "pause/play" button on their love journey and the rest is history as they plan to take their journey to the long-term lifetime commitment with vows all in the name of love, trust, and companionship. As they turn the page of love to the next chapter and phase of life united as one, you have been chosen to witness this history in the making.
