We grew up in the same area, went to the same middle school and high school, but only knew each other from a distance. Joey had a crush on Torrey since the first time he saw her in middle school, but he was too nervous to talk to someone as beautiful as her throughout high school. Torrey always thought of Joey as the sweetest, outgoing, life of the party kind of guy. It wasn’t until we ran into each other 6 years later, that we reconnected. We spent all of New Year’s Eve 2022 together, and Joey asked if he could kiss me at midnight, and I said ‘maybe.’ Now, here we are, saying ‘I do’ to spending forever together. It’s funny to think we were right next to each other our whole lives—our paths were always meant to cross!
