Details

Since this is going to be an intimate wedding in Alaska with our closest family and friends, we would like everybody to generally match while also taking the great Alaskan outdoors into consideration. It is relatively informal and there is a chance of a small hike for the ceremony, so we want everybody to be comfortable.
Question

Colors

Answer

Alaska's outdoors is the inspiration for the general color scheme of blue (dusty blue, french blue), green (sage, eucalyptus), pink (dusty rose, pale blush), and tan/neutrals. The inspiration for these colors are from Birdy Grey, a website for bridal party outfits. You are by no means obligated to purchase from this website, it is just meant to provide more of a guideline.

Question

Men

Answer

Pants: chinos, khakis, or nice pair of jeans. Shirts: a polo or button downs. It would probably be helpful to have some kind of jacket since it can get a little chilly, even in the summer.

Question

Women

Answer

Pants and shirts: same as men. If you are planning on wearing a skirt/dress, consider something shorter than floor length and/or a slit to make it easier to pick up the skirt from the ground. Additionally, consider bringing additional layers (jacket, cardigan, sweater, etc) as it can get chilly in Alaska, even in the summer.

Question

Shoes

Answer

We would advise you bring some kind of boots/shoes you do not care about getting muddy. You can always change them later :)
