Rich and Melanie met at The University of Akron where they both received their Bachelor in Organizational Supervision. They had a couple of the same classes and would run into each other from time to time. One day Melanie was so excited because her parents cat just had kittens and she wanted to share. Luck would have it Rich and Melanie were waiting for class to begin and Melanie singled him out to talk about cats. {lol} Rich thought, hey this cute girl wants to talk to me, i'll talk about cats. Then a wonderful friendship started. For the next two years Rich attempted to date Melanie, but not to Melanie's recollection, she said no several times. One day Melanie's mother asked her a question that would change her life forever. "Melanie, what if Rich gets a girlfriend? What will happen to you?" With no second guessing, a couple days later, Mel walked up to Rich and said "ok we are dating now." Melanie may have made Rich wait two years to date her, but Rich did a number on what feels like all of us for making Melanie wait over 6 years to marry him. {lol} We have shared many ups and downs though the years, which will make this marriage last for the long run. We have traveled all over the world, have fur babies that we love dearly, and share a home that has made our life so full. This is just a new chapter in our journey together and we are both so excited!!
