If you want to know when the couple officially first met, technically, they were babies, barely crawling around in diapers. Somehow, some way, the Vrtis and Anians family briefly crossed paths (thanks to the Farrell family) at a party. Side note: we’re not related we promise. We’ve fact checked about 10 times before we decided to date. Anyway, do they remember these interactions? No. Was it written in the stars (how romantic)? Perhaps. Here’s the groundwork, hold onto your hats: the bride and groom met by a random suggestion of Tori’s brother-in-law, Jon Campobasso. Jon is married to Tori’s sister, Taylor. Jon knows Joe from work, as they work for the same company, and often at the same job site. Did you make it this far? Great, there’s more! Jon mentioned to Taylor that it would be a great idea to set the (now bride and groom) up on a date based on what they know of us and see what happens. A little real life “Love is Blind” ya know? Long story short, the bride and groom had just one picture to go off of, with little to no information about the other person. They met for drinks around 8 o’clock on a Friday, and didn’t leave the bar until about 1 o’clock in the morning. Keep in mind this was the day before opening day of hunting season, in which Joe NEVER misses. The bride must have made quite an impression for him to go with about 3 hours of sleep to his favorite day of the year. Was it her incredibly hilarious jokes, her quick wit, or her irresistible beauty? We may never know. But that was three years ago at Stagecoach in Lockport, and now they’re planning a wedding! So, if you run into Jon and Taylor this October, they’re the matchmakers in this story!
