If you're in town over our wedding weekend, you're in for a treat! Fall for Greenville (October 10-12) is an award-winning, free-admission street festival that takes over downtown Main Street. It's a huge celebration of "Tastes, Tunes & Taps," featuring: Tastes: Over 50 local restaurants offering more than 300 delicious menu items. It's a fantastic way to sample Greenville's diverse culinary scene. Tunes: More than 80 musical acts perform on seven stages throughout the weekend, showcasing a wide range of genres from local, regional, and national artists. Taps: A wide selection of craft beer and wine vendors are on hand. It's a vibrant, festive atmosphere perfect for enjoying the beautiful October weather, delicious food, and live entertainment. You can purchase "taste tickets" to sample various dishes and beverages. There's also a Thursday night kick-off concert!
A true gem in the heart of downtown, Falls Park on the Reedy is a must-see! This beautiful urban oasis features the stunning Reedy River Falls, which you can admire from the unique, curvilinear Liberty Bridge – one of a kind in the U.S. Stroll through lush gardens, enjoy scenic overlooks, and perhaps even hop on the Swamp Rabbit Trail for a longer walk or bike ride. It's the perfect spot to relax, take photos, and experience Greenville's natural beauty right in the city center.
Greenville in the fall is GORGEOUS and the perfect temperature for an outdoor adventure! See below for some of our favorite outdoor spots: Falls Park on the Reedy: Beautiful fall colors within the city limits, especially around the Liberty Bridge. Swamp Rabbit Trail: A fantastic paved trail perfect for walking, running, or biking, surrounded by changing leaves. You can rent bikes downtown. Paris Mountain State Park: Just minutes from downtown, this park offers great hiking and biking trails, with the trees turning vibrant colors around the lakes. Upstate State Parks (Caesars Head & Jones Gap): For more rigorous hikes and breathtaking panoramic views of fall foliage, these parks are about an hour's drive away and are truly spectacular. Caesars Head is also known for its hawk migration viewing in the fall. Table Rock State Park: Another beautiful state park within a reasonable drive, offering excellent hiking and fall scenery.
There are plenty of options for the indoors-lovers, too! Check out some of the local arts and culture, including: The Peace Center: Check their schedule for Broadway shows, concerts, or other performances. Greenville County Museum of Art: Explore their collection, including a significant focus on American art.
