For the past 5 years I've been in Houston, I always venture back to my hometown in California to spend the holidays with my family. It was going to be Tori and I's second time being together in California with my family. Little did she know, this was going to be a much more "sparkly" holiday than she expected. It was December 30th and I had planned to take Tori down to a romantic sushi dinner in Malibu. As we were making our way down Pacific Coast Highway right before sunset, I pulled the car over telling her we were a little early to the reservations. The spot I pulled over was an old surf spot my brother and I used to go to all the time. It had the most incredible view overlooking the entire Pacific Ocean, especially right at sunset. As we made our way down to the cliff, without her knowing, both of our families were sneaking up behind us. Right as the sun set over the ocean, I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. After she said yes (if she said no, she was going off the cliff), both of our families were cheering in the background. This was the most incredible moment of my life and I cannot wait to say Yes to her in February.
