Each on our separate journeys growing deeper in our personal faith and leaving it in God’s hands when it came to dating. We met in May 2019 on the dating app Bumble with the goal to intentionally date. After engaging in the traditional Atlanta dating scene and a few apps here and there on and off...we crossed paths in God’s perfect timing. Through long and daily talks, we discovered we had lots in common from going to college near each other, our love of music & dancing, pledging the best & first black sorority & fraternity 😝 (skeephi), our love of family & friends, to everything else you can name. Most of all we discovered we shared similar values and faith realizing we attended the same church and served in similar ministries. It’s amazing when you let go and let God write your love story how amazing things can be.
Dec 23, 2019...Ahh proposal day!! So the plan was to meet up and go to dinner and to City Winery to see Musiq Soulchild in concert. Well Solomon had a completely different plan prior to leaving. As I’m getting ready, he tells me he wanted to give me my Christmas gift early but I needed to close my eyes first because it was a surprise. Little did I know, he was down on one knee with a beautiful ring. I was in complete shock, but super excited. Wow, I already knew this was the man I wanted to marry but he managed to surprise me with this wonderful gift. To top it off, our parents gave their blessing for our union!!
