Woodbine Mansion

Woodbine MansionWoodbine Mansion

405 East Main Street, Round Rock, TX 78664

Nestled beneath towering elm, pecan, and magnolia trees in the heart of Downtown Round Rock, the historic Woodbine Mansion has been a cherished landmark since 1900. Originally commissioned by Swedish immigrants Andrew J. and Hedwig Nelson, the home was designed in the Victorian style by Austin’s renowned Page Brothers architects. In 1931, it was transformed into the striking Greek Revival estate admired today, featuring its iconic symmetrical façade. Many of the mansion’s original details remain, including its period chandeliers and one of its most treasured pieces: a magnificent 10-foot pier mirror in the ballroom, acquired from a New Orleans estate and dating to the early 19th century. Designated a Texas Historic Landmark in 1973, Woodbine remains a beloved symbol of Round Rock’s heritage and an enduring centerpiece of Downtown Round Rock
