Richie and Tori met in Cape Girardeau, MO where they attended college at Southeast Missouri State University. Tori was in her first semester at SEMO after attending community college and didn't know many people yet. Richie on the other hand was in his second year at SEMO and was already a social butterfly. While at a friend's house brainstorming who to ask to play on a co-ed intramural volleyball team, Tori and Rich met for the first time. Tori asked him and the friend that he was with if they played volleyball and wanted to play on their team? In typical Richie fashion, he excitingly said "I do! I played volleyball all 4 years of high school. Can I play?". For the rest of the semester, Tori and Richie were just friends, playing volleyball and partying with the same group of people. Richie, as you all know, is very talkative, so it took Tori a while to decipher if he was actually flirting or just being friendly! Finally, a few weeks after Christmas Break, Richie asked Tori on their first date and then on February 13th asked her officially to be his girlfriend. Fast forward a few years and they have bought a house in St. Charles together and on their 6 year anniversary Richie asked Tori to marry him at the Missouri Botanical Gardens during the Orchid show (aka Richies favorite flower).
