Is there a dress code?

Garden Party Formal For Women: think stylish, knee-length or full-length dress in soft, elegant fabrics like silk, chiffon, or lace. Floral patterns, pastels, and sophisticated prints are encouraged. Finish your garden party look with accessories and comfortable, yet chic, footwear suitable for garden terrain and grass! For Men: A smart, light-colored suit or a blazer with dress trousers is ideal. Pair it with a crisp dress shirt and, if desired, a tie or bow tie that adds a touch of personality. Loafers or dress shoes are recommended, keeping in mind the garden setting.

Are kids welcome?

We think your kids are cool, but we want YOU to have a fun time without them cramping your style! Therefore, our wedding is adults only and appreciate your understanding.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! There is a room block reserved at The Griswold Inn in Essex, CT. There are limited hotels available near the venue (most of them require a drive). Where can I rent a house?

You can look to rent a house in the area (we recommend in Essex or Niantic or along the shoreline) on vrbo.com and airbnb.com

Is there parking for the ceremony & reception?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking at Smith Farm Gardens. You are welcome to drive to and from the wedding, but please remember no drinking and driving. See below regarding group transportation.

Will there be group transportation to and from the wedding?

Answer

We are looking into coordinating transportation for the guests staying at the Griswold Inn to and from Smith Farm Gardens. Please check back later for more information.

Yes! We will inquire on your RSVP if you have any special dietary requests.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan on arriving at 3:00* pm. Our ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 pm with cocktail hour to immediately follow. *If this is Tori-Time, plan on arriving 45 minutes early at 2:45 pm
