Question

How did we meet?

Answer

Kyle and I met on June 22, 2019, after his Hinge profile caught my eye. My profile said "I'll fall for you if... you're a tenor" and his 2 truths and a lie section said he was a trained opera singer. I took a chance and hoped I'd found the tenor of my dreams! (He's a baritone, but close enough) We talked for a day or so, and then decided to meet up in Olde Town Arvada. Kyle takes exactly zero pictures of himself, so the photos he had spanned from 2010-2018 and I had no clue what he looked like. Boy was I glad when I walked into The Bluegrass and saw him! 😍 We spent hours and hours talking, and I left that date knowing I'd met someone special.

Question

How did he propose?

Answer

We were in Glenwood Springs for Christmas Eve with Kyle's parents, and I wanted to walk down to the Hotel Colorado and look at the lights. If you've never been to Glenwood at Christmas, it's truly the most magical place on earth! It was 18 degrees outside, and as we were putting on our shoes to leave, I asked Kyle if I should just wear my Uggs so my feet would stay warmer. Kyle said "...well... I was going to wear nice shoes..." so I put my nice shoes on and we walked out the door. I put my arm through Kyle's and he pushed me away (rude, lol!). He said "I know sometimes you like to put your hands in my pockets, and my keys are in that one!" How I didn't know what was happening at this point is beyond me! We got to the hotel and Kyle had zero interest in walking around inside. He only wanted to be outside (freezing) but it was prettier out there, so we went back out and I wanted to take a picture by the fountain. I took off my coat, and before I knew it he was down on one knee!

For all the days along the way
