The ceremony starts at 12PM So if you arrive by 11:30, that should give you plenty of time to park and find your seat.
Great question! Look Park is a publicly supported venue so normally a $10 entrance fee is required per car. Our ceremony site includes 75 cars with our reservation. When you enter the park, simply tell the Ranger that you are a guest of the Atkins/Oldread wedding and they will instruct you where to go and you will not have to pay the $10 entrance fee. We suggest guests park next to The Sanctuary or Dow Pavilion We strongly encourage car pooling if possible.
Both the ceremony and reception will take place at Look Memorial Park (https://www.lookpark.org/) located at 300 N Main St, Florence, MA 01062. The ceremony will take place at The Sanctuary at Willow Lake (again, located within Look Park). The reception will take place at The Dow Pavilion (located within Look Park, not far from the Sanctuary at Willow lake). We will have balloons with beach balls on them near the Sanctuary and Pavilion to help guests find them easier.
After the ceremony, guests will take a very short walk over to Dow Pavilion where they can enjoy appetizers and drinks. Lunch will be served at 1:30
Both the ceremony and reception will take place outdoors. The ceremony site includes limited seating on benches (60 people) and coverage from the elements for those seated on the benches. Because of the limited seating, we ask for those who can stand without discomfort to yield their seat to our more mature guests as well as those with mobility issues. Please feel free to bring camp chairs along if you would like a guaranteed seat. Our reception will take place in Dow Pavilion. Guests will sit beneath the pavilion at tables that seat 10 guests each.
We will have open seating for our reception. We have more seating than we have guests so everyone will be able to find a seat and sit with whomever they would like. Feel free to mingle and play some lawn games or check out the park, you are not a prisoner to your seat by any means. But please make sure you have claimed a spot by 1:30 (when we will begin the Taco serving service). It's important that everyone has found a table by then because which table guests choose to sit at will dictate when they are called up to get custom tacos/burritos/bowls.
We are very excited to say that Bueno Y Sano (https://buenoysano.com/) will be on site creating custom tacos (chicken and vegetarian) for our guests. In addition, we will have a variety of Indian choices from Bombay Royale (https://www.bombayroyale.com/). These dishes will include vegetarian and vegan options. Mexican and Indian food are our favorites! We are excited to share this amazing food with our family and friends! In addition to the main dishes, we will also have a variety of appetizers to choose from. As far as drinks are concerned. We will have: beer, wine, cider, sangria, and mojitos. If you have a certain drink you'd love to have, feel free to BYOB, but please keep in mind, Look Park has a strict "NO GLASS" policy. We will also have: water, seltzer, lemonade , and juice boxes (for kids...or adults).
Yes! Definitely! Look Park (https://www.lookpark.org/activities/) offers many kid friendly activities if your little one is up for an adventure.
Quite simply, whatever you would like. The rough theme of our wedding is "The Outdoors", "Nature", "National Parks". We want our guests to be comfortable and relaxed. If you'd like to be dressy, dress as if you were planning to go to a nice dinner after a day at the beach or hiking through the wilderness (if that makes sense). Also, keep in mind, it may be very warm and this is an outdoor wedding and reception. Dress for the weather as well your own personal comfort and style. So yes, you can wear shorts.
Since it looks as if the weather will cooperate for us tomorrow, we are excited to to have a variety of lawn games available for guests to play. We will have corn hole, bocci, giant Jenga, and frisbees! We will also have DJ V with us playing some of our favorite songs in the background. There is no dedicated dance floor at the pavilion but if spontaneous dancing happens, who are we to stop it? :)

SInce most of friends and family are Massachusetts and Connecticut residents and the ceremony takes place at noon, we have chosen not to reserve hotel blocks. If you choose to stay over, we recommend staying in Hadley, the next town over for a variety of hotel choices.
