We first met in December 2019 during a trip to Vermont, thanks to my cousin Jacqui and her then boyfriend Tyler, now husband, who happened to be friends with John. What started as a weekend spent with mutual friends quickly turned into our very first date — skiing together at Mount Snow. From that point on, we spent nearly every winter weekend road-tripping up to Vermont to ski together, creating so many of our favorite memories on the mountain. So it only felt fitting that John chose a ski trip out west for the proposal. On February 24, 2025, at the top of Breckenridge Mountain in Colorado, John said, ‘We started on a mountain, so why not seal it on a mountain?’ before getting down on one knee and putting a ring on it. And the rest became our greatest adventure yet.
