Jason and Tori met the first night of college at the University of Illinois, as a group of freshmen were walking back to their dorm after a late night party. They instantly hit it off and went on their first spontaneous quasi-date just a few days later, walking around Memorial Stadium and grabbing lunch at the world-renowned Papa Del’s Pizzeria. Over the rest of Welcome Week, the two of them spent nearly every waking minute together. It wasn’t more than a week later that the couple became an official item. The next four years in Champaign were filled with countless greek life date events, barn dances, and exploring the best cuisine Champaign had to offer. Graduation provided another opportunity for Jason and Tori’s relationship to grow. The pair moved to Chicago and started their careers side by side. They spent the next few years sharing their mutual love of travel, traversing everywhere from Israel and Italy, Mexico and Utah, to nearby midwestern wonders Rockford and Kenosha. In September 2020, they packed their bags and moved from the Windy City to the Emerald City, or better known as Seattle, for a new adventure. No matter the location, or the circumstance, the two of them enjoy experiencing what life has to offer side by side. After over 7 years, a long overdue sunrise proposal took place on the morning of December 29th, 2019 in the shadows of the Golden Gate bridge. Both families arrived in San Francisco to surprise Tori, and shared in a momentous breakfast celebration at a local diner, which ended with an impromptu “Mazel Tov!” from family and congratulatory customers. While Jason and Tori have been on a remarkable journey together for almost 9 years, it would mean nothing if they were not able to share it with their closest friends and family.
