Why get married at John Ball Zoo?

Answer

The best part of our location is where the money goes. The John Ball Zoo is a non-profit organization and all proceeds from our event will benefit and support the programs and activities of John Ball Zoo.

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are registered at Bed, Bath & Beyond, Zola and Amazon. Please go to our "registry" tab to access our list. We are looking forward to purchasing a house in the future and are welcome to any contributions to our fund! :)

Do you have a hotel block?

Answer

Yes, we have secured rooms at the Amway Grand Plaza for $169 + tax. Please ask for the Stevens-Powers wedding block before August 6th to receive a discount.

What time should I be there?

Answer

The funicular will open between 4:45-5pm to allow guests up to the venue. The ceremony will begin at 5:30pm. Seating is limited, so feel free to come and celebrate with us after!

Any special attire notes we should know?

Answer

Make sure to prepare for Michigan weather! Our cocktail hour, as well as the evening's bar service, will be outside under the covered deck space. The reception will be inside the tree house.

Will parking be available?

Answer

The John Ball Zoo has free parking. It is located near the entrance of the venue, then guests will take the funicular up the hill. If you are staying at Amway, it is approximately 1.6 miles away and a quick Uber drive. If you end up driving to the venue, please note that you can leave your vehicle overnight if need be. The entrance will be locked after the event, then will re-open at sunrise. Please drive responsibility!
