Josie and Tori technically met at OCS, but all Tori can remember is hearing her yell “Aye Aye, Gunnery Sergeant” from the other end of the squad bay. Their friendship was solidified when they became roommates at The Basic School, which bonded them for life. Since then, Josie and Tori have spent countless hours across several time zones talking, roller blading, dancing, headbanging, drinking, movie watching, singing, and everything else that goes into being Tori’s soul sister. She is also the reason Tori got her cat: “I’m moving soon and we can’t leave her here so you have to get her.” Josie’s friendship is a great source of happiness, joy, and love in Tori’s life.

Agata gave Tori her first real job working as a hostess at the beloved Troy NY restaurant Muza. Though thousands of miles from home, Agata’s true friendship and guidance gave Tori a place to belong. Many joyous memories were made rolling silverware, “quality checking” the homemade cakes, and talking about anything and everything at the end of the night.

Emily is Tori’s college roommate and first friend at RPI. Her sense of humor, intelligence, and kindness made freshman year and several uninhabitable apartments a source of fond memories for years to come. Emily’s long-standing friendship has been one of the constants in Tori’s life through many changes, and she is honored to have Emily by her side as she begins this new chapter in life.

Hope and Tori served together at MWSS-272 in North Carolina, bonding over their shared tribulations during their deployment to Norway. Hope’s tenacious spirit and perceptive guidance have been instrumental in Tori’s development as a Marine and as a person, and she is lucky to be able to count on her as a friend.

Humza and Juan met on Humza’s first deployment and they’ve remained inseparable since then. From late night video games (where Juan has virtually saved Tori’s life many a time) to trips across the country, Humza, Tori, and Juan have cemented a life long friendship. A man who loves unconditionally, and supports his friends without question. His friendship has been a bastion of stability in many of life’s uncertain times. “You’re not gonna not”
