This is the story of two young Christians who came from pasts of going to church and living for themselves to finding Christ and then finding each other!  Both Gabe and his family started attending FieldView Church where Tori and her family already were going. Their parents became good friends ending up in the same small group, while Tori and Gabe stayed oblivious of each other until the High School Senior Graduate sendoff at church, but nothing came from that. Now Gabe went off to college and found Christ devoting himself to God for 2 years and then came back home to serve Vacation Bible School his Sophomore year summer. Tori’s mom who is the Kid’s Director for the church put Tori and Gabe together as leaders in the same group (she still claims this was coincidence), as Tori was beginning to grow with Christ. While serving together Gabe started to grow eyes for Tori, but wanted to wait on the Lord for a sign to ask her out. Then the next morning after Sunday service, Tori’s dad asked Gabe, “Do you like white women? Because my daughter likes Latinos!”.  This was undoubtedly the Lord’s sign to Gabe, and from there he scoured the young adults group chat to find her number to call her and ask her out as he was driving back to Quincy, IL for his internship. He called her and they talked for 2 hours and made the date…El Mezon next Friday. There they got the Jalisco Special and talked for 3 hours outside in the parking lot after, where they got a little too honest lol, but it was that communication that drew them both together, something neither of them had experienced before in relationships. It was what sustained them to last through the distance from STL to Rolla, MO all thanks to the providence of God. Some highlights of their dating relationship include as follows: * Gabe being scared to hold her hand until over a month after dating * Tori suggesting not kissing until marriage (PRAISE GOD) * Many, many facetime calls and Gabe asking tough questions * A broken cow udder(not a real cow) * 2x Awkward sets of sibling Christmas photos * Multiple conversations with great communication that avoided arguments * Probably hundreds of pictures of them together with Gabe’s hand in his pocket * Lots of walking and also TJ Maxx shopping trips with Gabe saying, “you don't need that” * Gabe taking funny pictures of Tori on facetime * Tori looking absolutely stunning in dresses and then changing to comfy clothes right away * 2x family reunions where Gabe cooked in football * Deep conversations about theology, boundaries, parenting, finances, and marriage * Tori’s Adhd kicking in while Gabe is talking * Tori reminding Gabe to rest and pour into those around him when he wants to come home * Lots of wholesome cuddles Gabe could keep going because he gets carried away, but he will stop for your sake. Through it all they have kept Christ as the foundation of their relationship and Gabe leading both of them according to biblical wisdom and good godly counsel. They are so grateful for how the Lord has orchestrated their relationship and continuously had His hand on them. They give God all the glory and Praise because it all has only come from Him and they have grown with Him monumentally separately, but while being together. They look forward to spending a life serving and advancing God’s kingdom together and celebrating the start with everyone at their wedding.  All thanks be to Jesus and the Cross.
