The beginning of forever

Although we've know each other practically our whole lives (Drake’s mom claims I was at his first birthday party), and even "dated" in the 8th grade, our official story starts back in 2014 with sophomore study hall and a few snapchats. Once he got ahold of my phone number, very cleverly, I might add, the rest was history. I mean seriously we have not gone a day without talking since. From homecomings and proms, to high school and college graduation, to living together and joining the adult world, we've experienced the best and worst parts of life together already and nothing excites us more than to continue this journey.

I honestly did not know what to expect when it came to Drake's proposal. I could have pictured him dropping to a knee out of no where in the middle of our kitchen on a random tuesday and just being like "Well?" But I am more than pleased to admit he did amazing!! He was so cool and calm, which if you know him is very surprising, unlike me who was self sabotaging. When he asked me to go on a bike ride by the lake that morning it was honestly the last thing I wanted to do. I bucked the idea partially because I really didn't feel like going but also because I was trying so hard to play it cool and not let on that I could tell something was fishy. I let it happen though and followed along as we rode out by the lake and stopped by one of the piers and he dragged me out onto it. My heart still melts when I think of his words that day....and of the instant wounds he had from kneeling in the gravel. He had our friends in on it too which meant more to me than he'll ever know. The whole thing was perfect and I will never forget it <3
