Many of you have known us since the start of our relationship! We have been together since April 2016 and these years have been so wonderful. We met on accident through a dating app and never looked back. We fell in love through coffee dates, Lord of the Rings on repeat, music, and our sweet Blu. We’ve travelled to many different states, mostly in a whim. Collin has always been up for an adventure, while I sometimes need convincing the outdoors won’t kill me. He’s introduced me to the fun of hiking and exploring new places. Collin has always been my biggest supporter! Through injuries, moving to different states, job loss, and adopting a new kitten. I have always encouraged him to try new jobs, play music, and take time for himself. I truly believe we have a wonderful partnership and will continue to grow together. Loving each other has never been hard and life is so enjoyable with him by my side!

We decided to take a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park to escape in nature during the pandemic. After driving for a day, we started our trip with an amazing hike to Dream Lake! I thought ‘if Collin were to propose, this would be the place.’ He did not ask me there! I was a little sad, but enjoying our hike so much, it was a mere passing thought. After the long but beautiful drive through the mountains, we made it to our campground at Lake Granby. We set up camp and went to the lake front to cool off and relax after our long day. Collin began speaking of his love for me: a deisre to plan our future together, fear of losing me, and the question, “will you marry me?” Needless to say, we cried for a long time on that beach, just hand in hand wiping away tears of happiness. Because he did not have a ring, the proposal was made even more special to me. He simply expressed his love with words and emotion, which is all I could have asked for! We decided we wanted to choose a ring together, to really pick something we both loved! It was a very special moment that we will cherish forever! (Later, he did tell me he wanted to ask at Dream Lake but was too nervous, which makes him even sweeter in my eyes.)
