Tori & Carter met in September of 2019, although only one of them remember this first encounter. Tori works for Fellowship Bible Church on the Student Ministry Team leading Bentonville middle school & high school students, & Carter serves the church through the Worship Ministry playing drums. That morning in September was Carter’s first time to play in the Student Ministry room, & the only memory he has is a red-headed girl who was stunning & personable with students & leaders alike, it was a Sunday he wouldn’t forget. To Tori, that morning in September was just another Sunday unfortunately. Carter desperately wanted to get Tori’s attention, having many encounters with her in the coming months just confirming that Carter was most likely doomed for the friend-zone. He knew if he wanted a chance, he had to do something. So through a lot of prayer & encouragement, on March 1st, Carter walked up to Tori at church & asked her on their first date, & by the grace of God she said yes. On March 7th, Tori & Carter went on their first date, & began a process of learning that the Lord used to grow Tori & Carter’s love for each other, through amazing memories, hard conversations, a team of faithful friends, a trip to the mountains & much more. It didn’t take long for Carter to look at Tori & confidently say “I want to spend the rest of my life loving & cherishing this girl with everything I have”, & on January 8th, he got to ask her if she felt the same way. Tori & Carter’s story is one marked by God’s kindness & provision. Without Jesus doing the work He did on Tori & Carter’s hearts in the years, months, & days leading up to that Sunday in September, they are most likely not here today. Because of that, they know it is only the work of God that will spur them on, through His word, His Spirit & the community of people He’s placed around them! They pray that this marriage bears the image of Jesus, & cannot wait to embark on that journey together!
