What is the dress code for the wedding?
Answer
Our wedding attire is semi-formal/cocktail. We encourage guests to dress elegantly while still feeling comfortable. For women, this typically means cocktail dresses, midi dresses, or dressy jumpsuits. For men, a suit or dress pants with a button-down shirt and optional tie is perfect—no need for a tuxedo or formal gown.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?
Answer
If you’re staying at The Abbey, no transportation is needed since both the ceremony and reception will be held onsite at the resort. If you’re staying elsewhere, transportation is not provided. We recommend arranging a designated driver, using a ride-share service (Uber/Lyft), or checking for local taxi options.

Is there parking available at The Abbey Resort?
Answer
Yes! The Abbey Resort offers complimentary self-parking for all guests. If you are staying at the resort or just attending the wedding, you’ll have easy access to parking on-site.

Where will the ceremony and reception take place?
Answer
Both the ceremony and reception will be held at The Abbey Resort in Fontana, WI. The ceremony will take place outdoors (weather permitting), with the reception to follow indoors at The Abbey West Shore Pavilion. Since everything is at the same location, no additional transportation is needed for guests staying at The Abbey.

What happens if it rains on the wedding day?
Answer
Our ceremony is planned to be outdoors, but if the weather doesn’t cooperate, don’t worry—we have a backup plan! In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved to an indoor space at The Abbey. We will make sure all guests are informed of any changes in advance. Rain or shine, we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Are there other hotels in the area besides The Abbey?
Answer
Yes! There are several hotel options in nearby Lake Geneva. These hotels do not have a group rate or room block, so pricing will be at standard rates. For those flying in, the nearest airports are: Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) – Approx. 51-minute drive Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) – Approx. 1 hour 15 minutes away There is no transportation provided from the airports, so renting a car or using a ride-share service is recommended.

Are there any activities or bars open after the reception?
Answer
Yes! Waterfront, located at The Abbey, is open until 2:30 AM, with live music until 12:30 AM. We’d love for you to continue the celebration with us there! For those looking for another option, Chuck’s a well-known local spot, is just a short 7-minute walk away.
