DRESSES: Cocktail dresses (dresses that fall just above or just below the knee) are the most common choice for festive attire. A “little black dress” is standard for traditional cocktail party dress codes, but for festive attire, go for something a little more unique—a festive dress with interesting details, like a textured fabric, or jewel-tone colors. Jumpsuits or pantsuits also work if they are in a luxe fabric and feel creative and interesting. TOPS: If you prefer to wear a two-piece outfit, dressy separates are a great option. For the top, selecting a silky blouse in jewel tones could be fun. Florals in spring are always a safe bet. BOTTOMS: Look for skirts that fall just above or below the knee. Select a fun fabric like jacquard or tweed to embrace the dress code. ACCESSORIES: Festive attire is all about the accessories. Go for bold statement pieces like fun earrings, necklaces, or shiny metallic bracelets. A sparkly clutch purse will make you look extra dressy and festive.
SUITS: Suits aren't required, just a jacket would be great or anything that makes you feel confident! Suits are the most common choice for men in festive attire, but you don’t have to wear the classic dark suit synonymous with cocktail attire for men. Choose a suit in an interesting color or textile, or add decorative embellishments like a patterned tie to make a statement at the party. TOPS: If you’re not in the mood to wear a suit, look for fun, festive tops like a colorful cashmere sweater, or an open-collar shirt or button-down with a linen blazer or seersucker sport coat. BOTTOMS: Pair your festive top with bottoms like corduroy, flannel, or velvet pants. SHOES: Dress shoes are the most obvious choice for men looking for festive attire. Skip the plain black dress shoes in favor of shoes with an interesting color or unique details. ACCESSORIES: Spice up your festive outfit with some fun accessories, like a patterned tie, bow tie, or pocket square, or a shiny watch or bracelets.
Please RSVP at the link above by April 1st, 2024.
We have reserved the Lake Rabun Hotel across from the venue, which has 13 rooms as well as the nearby Fish Camp Cottages. Both of which have two-night minimums on stays. Nearly all rentals have two-night minimums around Lake Rabun. We have also reserved several Airbnbs near the venue, please contact Patrick or Claire once you RSVP and we will help coordinate lodging and reservations once our guest list becomes more clear.
We have a strict limit on the number of people who are allowed at our venue for each event, it’s one guest per invited person. Thank you for understanding.
We recommend carpooling from your lodging accommodations if you are not within walking distance. There approximately 30 parking spots at the Lake Rabun Pavilion. We are looking into coordinating shuttles after the wedding reception concludes to take people back to their lodging if they are unable to drive. Uber/Lyft is not as widely available in Lake Rabun.
The ceremony and reception will be taking place in a covered outdoor pavilion.
