In waning days of June 2023, the couple connected. A Christian dating app, who would’ve thought? But when André saw her profile, he didn’t hesitate to send a “super-like.” On the receiving end of the “like” – Christan said to herself, “Not another André…” (yes, she had dated two previously). But she would make the first move and send the first message. Their hearts would do the rest. Messages on the app, turned to texts, which all turned to calls. They talked all day and night – no topic shallow, no shortage of words. In just 5 days of pure chemistry through the screen, they met in person for the first time. Downtown Evanston. Ice cream.
