Meet our friends and family who will be walking down the aisle with us!

Maryam

Bridesmaid

Maryam had been my friend since the first year of high school. In our 11 years of friendship, we have gone through so much together, were separated, and brought back together so many times but that never affected our closeness. Maryam is the friendliest, sweetest, most cheerful person you'll ever meet. She's also the best dog mom and the BEST friend a girl could have.

Mahmoud

Groomsman

I was always convinced Mahmoud was my long-lost brother, indicated by his mother who told me the first time we met I was teasing and pranking him like I've known him all my life. We've been always separated either by time, space and literally, anything life will toss at us. But no matter the reason we've always found our way to reconnect as if we have just seen each other a day before. I'm sure we'll have many more stories to share, memories to make, and fun fffffffffforever.

Parmida

Bridesmaid

Parmida is my newest friend but she worked her way up the ranks so fast! I'm convinced we're either soulmates or simply the same person. Even though Parmida and I don't know each other that well yet, I'm sure she'll be one of my closest friends in no time. She was there when I picked my wedding dress and she'll be my neighbor when Mido and I move to our new home in New York after the wedding! Can't wait to have many adventures together in the future.

Faris

Groomsman

Faris and I have shared the same sentiment of being too foreign for the place we were born and too foreign from the place we called home. But what was not foreign was the bond that we cultivated and shared from traveling together for the first time to living together up until now. He's a man that has always had my back as I will have his.

Farida

Bridesmaid

A crucial wheel on the tricycle that is, Farida, Maryam, and I. Farida and I have also been friends since high school but we got so much close in college. I'll never forget our naps before Zumba classes or our trips to Farida's kitchen that always ended with bringing out the candy box. Farida might fool you with her calm exterior but she's the goofiest, funniest person in this group!

Ziyad

Groomsman

A man of few words but many qualities I respect. His resolve and steadfast personality are what set him as the stonewall of my inner circle's friendship. And nothing shows his fortitude more than when we'd stay up until 5 in the morning trying our best with all our might to not succumb to the Zombie horde in CoD. May we survive the hordes of not only zombies but the hardships of life & Covid!

Dhoha

Bridesmaid

Cousins are usually the first friends we have as children. No one will ever understand your crazy family like your cousins do. Dhoha was my very first friend and will forever be one of the people who know me best. I can't even begin to list the number of memories we have together. We always had a long-distance relationship but that never affected us and our friendship. Dhoha is one of the smartest and most well-read individuals out there. I mean, who else do you know has read the fifth Harry Potter book more than 26 times? P.S. Dhoha, I'm still planning that trip to "you know where".

Ali

Groomsman

On the other hand, Ali is a man with many words, but very few faults in my eyes. We had a bit of a rocky start at the beginning of our relationship, him being witty and me being... Well me. But if anything, I see it as a spark of chemistry that has grown over many shared moments and travels across Egypt and Europe. His light-hearted composure never fails to put me at ease. May we travel the world and continue our battle of wits to the end!

Yousr

Bridesmaid

Again, unchosen family but a chosen friend. I'm so lucky to have family members who are my best friends as well. Yousr might be two years younger than me, but she's always been like an older sister. Her caring and nurturing nature is unmatched. She has gotten me through so many hard times and has been by my side during so many good times! Yousr, you might be an adult now but I'll never accept that you're older than 4.

Okasha

Groomsman

Without exaggeration, Ahmed was the first and actual long-lost brother that I have met when we both went to kindergarten together. To me, it might have been fate that brought us back together in the same school after years of separation followed by years of someone who truly shares a lot of the same interests as I do. I'm sure our time to talk about the geekiest topics will be around for arooound... Forever.

Gabriella

Bridesmaid

Gabriella and I met in Seattle in my last year of undergrad. We were partners in our National Model United Nations Conference in New York. The first time we met at the library to study, we ended up talking for 3 hours and let me just say, we did VERY little studying during that time. The rest, as they say, was history! Since then Gabby has been one of the few real friends I made in America and it will definitely be a lifelong friendship! I was so honored to be standing next to Gabriella on her wedding day as a bridesmaid and I'm so happy that she'll be standing next to me on mine!

Saffi

Groomsman

From the day I met Saffi and has always had a calm aura to him. Being the chill creature he is, it is very easy to see why people gravitate to him with his easy-going personality and fun-loving character. I could hardly think of times where being in the general vicinity of the man wasn't filled with positive energy. May you spread your positivity always, and in turn so shall we all aspire to do the same.

Jannah

Bridesmaid

Jannah is my future sister in law who's probably the only other girl out there who can help me decipher the inner workings of Mido's mind. From the moment we were introduced, she welcomed me into the family with open arms. Since then, we've shared many recipes and cake-making videos. Can't wait for the day we make a cake together, it'll be out of this world!

Kazaz

Groomsman

If there was one thing I always liked about Kazaz was that his comical personality rarely falters even in the face of hardship. The energetic enthusiasm that he shares is shown in all aspects of his life, whether it is with a group of friends, a comedy club, or in the General Assembly hall of the UN. In each event that we share I enjoy my time with him more and even in the midst of Covid we still have our moments virtually. May we talk about more Marvel & MUN both virtually and personally.

Raghy

Groomsman

Although Raghy was the latest member of the group, his impact was phenomenally strong. With a very unique personality and comical persona, hanging out in a group certainly makes things more interesting. His diligence and effort towards achieving something he believes in are at the very least admirable. And FOMO aside I can't wait for more late-night hangouts with the rest of the gang in the future.

Jana

Junior bridesmaid

Jana is my eldest niece. Only 13 years younger than me, she's like the little sister I never had but always wished for. If you see someone at the wedding in a corner with a book and a blanket, don't be alarmed, that's just Jana in her natural habitat. I can't believe how fast she's growing up! I bet by the time the wedding comes she'll be much taller than me. No matter how tall she gets though she'll still be a little munchkin in my eyes.

Zaina

Junior bridesmaid

Zaina is my middle niece who is also the life of the family! This girl unlimited energy that will bring life to any party. Zaina is my little friend who shares my love of food (especially sushi), painting, and watching squishy make-over videos! Over the past few years, I've answered many, many, MANY, questions she had for me, and seen her grow from a toddler to the wonderful kid she is now! Can't wait to see where life takes her and answer any of the many, many, MANY questions I'm sure she'll have for me in the future.

Hana

Flower Girl

What's the most important job for a flower girl? To be adorable. Hana has got that covered! Hana is my youngest niece. Her interests range from Pepa pig to playing with squishes. I think we all can't wait to see her do her flower girl duties!
