A Note About Baltimore

Baltimore is a vibrant city we both love dearly, though it comes with some real struggles and a lot of bad press. We are personal witnesses to a lot of amazing community work done by our neighbors, and are happy to talk about the many facets of living here. While crime in Baltimore City affects a large population of the city's residents, it is unlikely that you will be affected by it during your stay here. If you have safety concerns, please reach out to us before the event and we'll answer any questions for you. When you go out at night, even in Charles Village, please be aware of your surroundings, and avoid keeping your head buried in your phone. Say hello to the people on the street, be kind to all, and enjoy Charm City.

Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport (BWI)

BWI Airport is the closest and most convenient airport to fly into. From here, you can rent a car, hire an uber or taxi, take the light rail, or take the MARC train to Baltimore city.

Baltimore has plenty of great AirBnB rentals! The ceremony and celebration will take place in Charles Village, but you may also enjoy Federal Hill or Fells Point. If you need recommendations for neighborhoods, please let us know!

Train

MARC - North Bound

If you are arriving from BWI airport, please make your way to the MARC/Amtrak shuttle bus. This bus will take you to the BWI Train Station. You can buy a MARC ticket inside the train station or on board the train. If buying on the train, please have cash, as the conductor will not accept credit cards. Additionally, there is a $5 service charge when buying on board the train. You will want to take a north bound train and your stop will be Baltimore Penn Station. From Baltimore Penn Station, you can get a taxi or call an uber to get to your hotel.

Train

Light Rail

From BWI airport, you could also take the light rail into Baltimore. This train will take you about 40 minutes and there are many stops along the way. When you arrive at BWI, please follow signs for the light rail or ask a member of the staff to direct you. The light rail costs $1.70. You'll be able to see the Baltimore Metro area from this train as well as getting a great view of the city. I will provide specific stops for you once I have reserved a hotel block.

For all the days along the way
