If you’re looking to explore on Friday or Sunday of our wedding weekend, West Michigan has so much to offer. Since the groom is from Holland and the groom's parents, Jeff and Shelly, live in Saugatuck, this area has truly become our home — and we’re excited to share some of our favorite spots with you! Things to do in Saugatuck: Downtown Saugatuck Shopping: Boutiques, local art galleries, and great coffee shops. Oval Beach: One of the most beautiful beaches on Lake Michigan. Mt. Baldhead & the Famous Stairs: A great, quick hike with an amazing view. Saugatuck Dunes State Park: Peaceful trails and quiet access to the lakeshore. The Butler District & Waterfront Dining: Perfect for drinks or dinner on the water. Things to do in Holland: Downtown Holland: Cute shops, restaurants, and breweries. Holland State Park: Walk the pier, see Big Red Lighthouse, or spend time on the beach. Windmill Island Gardens: Walk through Dutch gardens and see the historic working windmill.
