2020 was an exceptionally long/hard year for many. As you know we weren't able to go to Greece and have our dream wedding. Instead, we had an amazing civil ceremony in Atascadero, CA. The only thing missing was all of our friends, a Greek Church and Greek Dancing! So, September 4, 2021 -- we will celebrate our love for each other, along with all the love we have for our closest family and friends. We look forward to hugging, laughing and dancing with each and every one of you!
March 2016 and I started a new job. Over the course of the first week, Nikki caught my attention. I can not remember if it was her brown eyes, hair, or vibrant personality, but I was intrigued. Since I am a gentleman, I kept cool and just admired her from a distance until she, "slid into my DMs." According to her, she had to ask me questions about my previous work history and other skillsets for the company newsletter and website. During the exchange of messages, I was enthralled by her genuineness & learned about her Greek heritage. I did not make any sudden moves. Later that month, I asked if we could meet outside of the office so I can learn more about the "company." One day we finally connected, little did I know she had laid the trap the whole time coordinating the meetup at her "Tinderoni Bar," The Lion's Share. We both ordered "Buffalo Stamps" and began to talk about work, she was sweet, laughed at my jokes, & her smile soothed me. After a couple of more cocktails, I said, "So I'm gonna make this awkward... I find you attractive", her response was priceless as she sorta chuckled and dismissed the statement. Little did I know the feeling was mutual!
I still remember what Jake was wearing the first time I met him....March of 2016 at BVAccel (Jake's first day on the job). I had to draft bios of every employee at the company, so after 2 weeks..I reached out to him to get more info about his past careers, etc. From that moment we spoke at work every day. Talking about work, our weekends and he would always tell "Dad jokes." About a month later Jake asked me to catch up after work, so I took him to my favorite bar! While there, about 1 drink in, he said, "Can I make this awkward!?" With what felt like a long pause, he followed it up with, "I find you very attractive..." I couldn't help but laugh!! Fast-Forward....3 years to that day, Jake got down on one knee and proposed. I can't wait for a lifetime of that same laughter!
