Tony and Vanessa met at St. Joseph Hospital. Vanessa was working at the hospital at the time and Tony was working construction at St. Joseph Hospital as one of his recent job sites. Vanessa and her sister, Krysha, were working at the hospital at that time as well. Vanessa and Krysha had a morning routine of walking the back way to the cafeteria for either coffee or breakfast. One morning Vanessa was approached by a construction man (Tony) and he gave her a styrofoam cup with his name and phone number on the cup. She nervously said thanks and kept walking. She honestly felt like she blacked out for a minute and had to ask her sister what he looked like since Vanessa didn’t get a good glimpse of him. LOL. Vanessa also wondered how he knew which twin to give the cup to since her and her sister look exactly alike. Luckily he picked the single twin. ;) Vanessa finally decided to contact Tony. They got to know each other a little bit over the phone, you know, asking the simple questions people ask when getting to know a person. Tony then asked if Vanessa would like to go on a dinner date with him. Of course, she said yes. :) Their first date was at Jackson’s in Santa Rosa. After the first date, the rest is history and they have been together ever since. Vanessa and Tony have been together a little over 7 years now.
Tony proposed in March 2021 in Monterey Bay, CA. We stayed at the Sanctuary Beach Resort in Monterey Bay for the weekend. Our beautiful room was right on the beach and had an amazing balcony view of the beach and ocean. The day we arrived at the resort, we settled in and not too long after Tony snuck away and wrote “will you marry me?” in the sand, went down on one knee and ask to marry. We followed the night celebrating by going to a nice dinner and spent the rest of the weekend doing fun activities, eating fresh sea food, and enjoying the beautiful views in Monterey Bay.
