Your friendship is your gift to us. Should you feel inspired to give more, we would ask you to consider donating to the National World War II Museum in the name of Arthur Astorino, proud Grandfather of the bride and Veteran of the 75th US Infantry. We are planning to use the donations to purchase a personalized paver at the museum in his honor. Working in consultation with the museum, we are collecting donations and will submit them all at once. We'll be sure to share pictures of the paver with everyone once it's installed! If you'd like to donate, you can send the money to us via VENMO @Tony-Paquette-MPH or PayPal tpaquettemph@gmail.com with a note that it's for "Arthur Astorino's Paver" (lest Tony think you're just randomly sending him money).
We thought we were safe picking a date between Mardi Gras and Easter, but NOPE. New Orleans is hosting the Final Four college basketball tournament this weekend... if you are planning to head down for the festivities, please reserve a room soon!
Yes! We hope everyone can come and celebrate with us on Friday night. Promise it's not an April Fool's trick! It is going to be so much fun - we went with Lexi, Gabi and Evan during a summer vacation and it was one of the best times we have had in NOLA!
Of course! Please tell us about food allergies as soon as possible. We will inform the restaurants ahead of time to accommodate allergies.
There are 4 options for dinner from the new spring menu. We have to provide the restaurant a finalized list no later than March 25th (we will also add in everyone's allergies / dietary restrictions). These are the main course options: *pan seared chicken with cavatappi pasta and sundried tomato caper cream sauce *filet mignon with roasted garlic potatoes, green beans and bearnaise (gluten free) *BBQ gulf shrimp with fried grit cake, crispy shitake mushrooms and lemon brulee *vegetarian option tbd with seasonal vegetables
Please check the city's website for the most up-to-date information re: COVID guidelines. Currently, all guests 5 years of age and older at bars / restaurants must show a negative PCR within 72 hours or provide evidence of having received primary COVID vacciantions (2 doses Moderna / Pfizer or single J+J dose). This may change before the wedding, so please check the website below. https://ready.nola.gov/incident/coronavirus/safe-reopening/
The is ample free parking at the ceremony and dinner venue at Ralph's on the Park. There's also a streetcar that will drop you off about a block from the venue. Parking for the rehearsal dinner is going to be trickier, as the venue is in the French Quarter. If you are driving, you will likely need to pay for parking in a lot close by. Otherwise we would recommend an Uber or Lyft.
