Wedding Postponement Announcement

As many of you know, or are certainly wondering at this point, Tony and I have made the difficult decision to postpone our wedding due to COVID-19. The health and safety of our friends and loved ones is of utmost importance to us, and we want everyone to be able to celebrate without worry. At this point in time we do not have a new date set, as we both feel it is irresponsible of us to do so until things settle down a bit more and we can re-evaluate both of our schedules for fall/winter and beyond. Please know that as soon as we know, YOU will know because we truly cannot wait to say our vows, spin around a dance floor and eat a cannoli or two with everyone! We hope you all are safe and healthy (and home) and we can't wait to see everyone!

Our Story

Fate with the help of Champagne

Fate came in the form of a Black Tie Affair both were hired to work. After an initial phone connecting these two total strangers, Tony knew there was something about this girl. Keeping it professional at the event, both still wondered, would they see each other again? Fast forward a week to what seemed to be just another Saturday Night. Tony was DJing at a nightclub and Jessica just so happened to wander into that same club (of all the Gin Joints in all the world). Tony, serendipitously looked up as Jessica entered, and in a moment of surprise and excitement, threw his headphones to his Co-DJ and yelled “TAKE OVER!”, and ran down the stairs to talk to her. While standing in line for the Ladies Room, Jessica was startled from a tapping on her shoulder. Turning around to see Tony, Jessica gasped. Tony exclaimed “What are you doing here, you never come here” Jessica responded “Um I’m meeting friends for a drink” (Cue the narrator “She was in fact not meeting friends…but on a date”) After reluctantly joining Tony in his DJ booth, the two drank champagne and Tony convinced her (the champagne helped) to go to dinner the following Saturday Night. Mother Nature, not being without a sense of humor, decided to dump 2 feet of snow on the Northeast the night before their date. With Tony having to travel back from NYC the morning of, their scheduled date seemed to be in jeopardy. Jessica, being gracious, offered Tony the chance to reschedule. Tony, beyond stubborn, said “If I have to take a dog sled back upstate, I will be there.” Luckily such extreme measures were not necessary and not only did he made it back to Albany, but was even on time to pick her up. Unbeknownst to them, this would be their last 1st date ever! The ability to overcome any obstacles would soon become the strength of their relationship. There isn’t anything these two won’t go through for each other. Since a Black Tie Affair brought them together, a Black Tie (optional) Affair seems only appropriate.
