It was a cold, wintery evening. Monday, Dec 18, 2023, to be exact. Jaclyn was out with her friends, Ben and Jake, getting cheesecake. They convinced her that she needed to go out with Ben's cousin, Tony. Ben put a group text together introducing them. Tony texted Jaclyn moments later to set up a date. They decided to meet a week later at a churro place. After a few more days of texting, Jaclyn finally admitted to him that she didn't like churros. Tony suggested a backup plan for their first meeting - the lighting section at Lowe's. Jaclyn was intrigued by this invitation, she had never been asked out to walk around Lowe's Home Improvement before. Christmas came and went, they texted a little throughout the holiday week. Finally, the day of the date came, Wednesday, Dec 27. As Jaclyn walked into the lighting section she saw a handsome man in a green long sleeve shirt. She thought to herself "He's cute. I like his shirt." At the same time, he was thinking "who is this beautiful Goddess?". She immediately hugged him, throwing him off his game. They spend the next 45 minutes walking around the home improvement store. He talked about his childhood and career goals. She tried not to make dirty jokes because Ben had told her Tony was one of the purist people he knew. She almost lost interest when he told her he liked to substitute the meat in his tacos for cauliflower, but luckily she looked past that transgression. When they walked to their cars, Jaclyn thought he might ask her for dessert, but he gave her a hug and went on his way. She didn't know if he was interested in going out again, but she wanted to be sure he knew she was intrigued. She sent a quick text saying she'd love to go out again. He agreed that they should continue to get to know each other and set up a date for the next week. From then on, he continued to ask her on romantic dates, and sweep her off her feet. Just two months later, She fell in love with his kindness, excitement, empathy, and thoughtfulness. Three months in, she knew she wanted to never part from his side.
