Frequently Asked Questions
Question

Are there any updates regarding the wedding?

Answer

Yes, the wedding will now take place at 5pm on Monday April 14, 2025 at the RIU Palace Aruba. This is a change from the start date printed on your invitation of 2pm.

Question

When do I need to RSVP?

Answer

RSVP was due by December 13, 2024. Guestlist is now closed unless the couple has made an exception to your party.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, the dress attire for this wedding is beach-chic. The wedding will be outside in the RIU Palace Garden, so you may wear heels, sandals, open or closed toe shoes. You may wear any color with the exception of white.

Question

What to know if you're staying off the RIU resort?

Answer

There is a $125 day pass fee for wedding guests who are not staying at RIU resort. Additionally, anyone staying outside of the resort is responsible for their own transportation to the wedding. Once you paid the $125 to access RIU Palace, you will have access to everything on the resort until the wedding reception ends (approx. 11pm).

Question

What's your wedding planner's contact information?

Answer

Brittany Hanks Phone: 409-789-8656 Monday - Friday 12pm - 7pm EST Email: bhanks@destinationweddings.com

Question

Can I bring a plus one to the wedding?

Answer

Only those who were previously approved to bring a plus one by the couple can be accompanied by another guest. You may however reach out to us to see if anything changes.

Question

What are some things to keep in mind?

Answer

In addition to the latest email sent on 4/4 regarding the wedding: 1. Don't forget your travel documents (passport, Aruba ED card, credit or debit cards). 2. Let your bank(s) and or credit card company know you'll be traveling internationally. - We recommend taking out some cash for tipping if you so choose. 3. If you are staying on the RIU resort, no need to worry about food or beverages as you will be covered the entire duration of your stay. 4. Staying outside the RIU resort will result in a $125 fee to access the wedding property (this is a fee the resort charges, not the couple). 5. Calling/texting may result in roaming charges. Look into securing an international or travel plan or other means to communicate while out of the country.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Ehh, yes and no. There are 3 children approved to be in attendance which is the couple's daughter, niece, and nephew. Otherwise, no other children should be in attendance at the wedding/reception.
