Tony met Criselda during a family vacation to the Philippines in the summer of 2019. Criselda was hired to babysit Tony's nephews, and he was immediately smitten when he saw her. Hence, the flirting began. However, Criselda was cautious as this American tourist was only scheduled to be in the Philippines for a short time. Nonetheless, Tony was persistent in getting to know her and for her to know him. He would walk her home after her shift, he befriended her brother, and he made sure to stay behind on any outings that she wasn't attending. At the end of his trip, he returned to Los Angeles and made sure to stay connected by messaging and eventually video calls via Messenger. They continued their long-distance friendship which ultimately blossomed into love. Tony had plans to visit again in 2020, but because of Covid, his plans were postponed. However, he waited. She waited. And after an arduous two years, in May 2022, travel restrictions to the Philippines were lifted, and Tony took flight! Within a few days of landing, in the presence of family and friends, he officially proposed marriage to the love of his life. Now, three years later, here we are. Coming together to celebrate their deeply unforgettable love story and absolutely special union. The rest is not history. It's only just begun.
