Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We’re looking forward to an elegant fall evening! As the ceremony will take place in a Catholic Church followed by a reception at the country club, we kindly ask guests to dress in polished, elegant cocktail attire. Think suits and ties, cocktail dresses, and dressy shoes. To keep the celebration feeling festive and refined, we kindly ask that guests avoid jeans and similar casual attire.

Question

What is the schedule for the wedding day?

Answer

We will begin with a Nuptial Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Glens Falls, NY (https://www.stmarysglensfalls.org/). We recommend arriving at the church 15–20 minutes early to allow time for seating. After Mass, the celebration will continue at Hiland Park Country Club (https://www.hilandparkcc.com/) - about 10 minutes away by car. Cocktail hour will commence upon arrival, followed by a seated dinner, dessert, and dancing into the evening. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

What is a Nuptial Mass? Is that the wedding ceremony?

Answer

Our wedding will take place within a Nuptial Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. A Nuptial Mass is a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony that celebrates the sacrament of marriage with prayers, Scripture readings, and the celebration of the Eucharist. We are honored to share this meaningful part of our faith with you, and we warmly welcome guests of all faiths to attend and participate as they feel comfortable. During Holy Communion, we respectfully ask that only practicing Catholics receive the Eucharist. Guests of other faiths are welcome to come forward with their arms folded across their chest for a blessing or to remain seated in quiet prayer.

Question

How far is St. Mary's Church from Home2 Suites?

Answer

St. Mary's Church is a 10 minute drive from the Home2 Suites hotel. From there, it's about 10 minutes to the reception hall at Hiland Park Country Club.
