The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden
Located on the shores of White Rock Lake, the Arboretum is one of the prettiest gardens in the country. Take a stroll through the seasonal displays and enjoy the scenic views.
Dallas Museum Of Art
Located in Dallas' vibrant Arts District, the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA), founded in 1903, is one of the country's largest art museums, housing more than 24,000 pieces. The collections here are vast, spanning continents, mediums, and centuries. Free admission!
Perot Museum of Nature and Science
There’s something for everyone, no matter how old you are, at the Perot Museum! The museum has 11 permanent exhibit halls featuring dinosaurs, gems, animals, sports and more with hands-on activities, interactive kiosks and educational games.
Klyde Warren Park
A public park that sits over a major freeway in downtown Dallas. Check out one of the several food trucks lined up along the street or just soak in the sun on the lawn.
Katy Trail Ice House
A casual beer garden with patio seating and dozens of beers on tap right on the Katy Trail. Go for a walk on the Katy Trail and stop by here for a drink after!
Bowen House
Bowen House is a craft cocktail bar in the Uptown neighborhood of Dallas. Check out the small hidden bar in the back! Grab dinner at S&D Oyster Company, a New Orleans style seafood restaurant next door, and then head here for an after-dinner drink. The Ginger Man down the street is a great option for those that prefer beer to cocktails.
The Old Monk
A traditional Irish pub and one of Matt's favorite bars in Dallas. A fun spot for happy hour or late night drinks with friends!

A modern, American bistro and one of our favorite date-night spots. We recommend making a reservation here ahead of time.
Hudson House
One of our go-to dinner spots. American fare. Happy Hour every day from 3-6 p.m. means half-price oysters, martinis, and cheeseburgers! One of the better cheeseburgers in town. Matt recommends the Bleu & Gold martini! This location is new and close to St. Thomas Aquinas, but there's a second location on Lovers Lane.
BIRD Bakery
One of our favorite weekend breakfast or lunch spots located in the upscale shopping center of Highland Park Village. Don't leave here without trying one of their cupcakes!
Meso Maya Comida y Copas
A casual Mexican restaurant with great food and a large outdoor patio. Don't worry, you can certainly get some Tex-Mex staples here too!
Pecan Lodge
Award winning BBQ located in the lively Deep Ellum neighborhood of Dallas. Go with a group and order "The Trough" to cut the line! Afterwards, stop by Emporium Pies next door for dessert!
