Things To Do

Coors Brewery Tour

502 14th Street, Golden, CO 80401

Coors Brewery Tour-Kid friendly, but costs $20 for adults which includes 3 sample beers and a souvenir cup, You will need your ID to drink and be wary of high altitude drinking, one beer can feel like 5.

Celestial Seasonings

4600 Sleepytime Drive, Boulder, CO 80301

One of the other things our area is known for is the Home of Celestial Seasonings in Boulder. Boulder is a short drive from Golden. Cost of the tour is $6 but you can save 15% if you sign up online. Tour is ages 5 and up likely due to the peppermint room!

Meow Wolf Denver's Convergence Station

1338 1st Street, Denver, CO 80204

This is an all ages activity in Denver. Can be pricey but Groupon always has discounted tickets!

Children's Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus

2121 Children's Museum Drive, Denver, CO 80211

This is one of our favorite places to take Evie! EBT card holders only cost $1, regular tickets are between $16.50-$19 based on age. During the winter months they have Snow Days where you can ice fish, tube down a kid sized ice hill, ice skate (special slippers over your shoes on a special ice colored floor, not actual ice).

Hammond’s Candies

5735 Washington Street, Denver, CO 80216

This is a favorite place for us! Free factory tours with free candy throughout. I strongly suggest an early morning tour so you can see them in action. Afternoons will be watching them clean up the factory. You can book online.

The Stanley Hotel

333 East Wonderview Avenue, Estes Park, CO 80517

This is where I first told Donovan I loved him, in the parking lot as he was helping me into his car. He didn't say it back but we're getting married so something worked out! The roads here in winter can be anxiety inducing, the state is usually really good about keeping our roads salted and clear though and they offer bus and train service to Estes in the winter.
